download contours as .DXF file

I need the ability to download contour data as the Drawing Exchange Format .DXF so that I can open the file in AutoCAD and other CAD programs.

this would be cool. but for now one can download .kml file, search 'kml to dxf convert' and use an online converter to get the dxf file.
